Moving in was rather smooth, everyone got their own keys to go to.
I was moving in with Kenneth and supposedly two more students from Republic Polytechnic who were not here yet.
The place looks amazing,a kitchen all to ourselves, two bedrooms each with two beds,a dining room,a tv,fans, ironing boards, iron, cupboards and the list goes on. Its kinda like a dream come true but the only gripe i and Kenneth had was that we got the common bedroom and the other two Rp students got the Master Bedroom all to themselves, which had a tv and a toilet in the room itself.
We both honestly had the intentions to switch over the cards that designates the rooms to the individuals over so that i and Kenneth could get the master bedrooms all to ourselves.
I mean, they wouldnt know right?? sigh unfortunately Kenneth disagreed and we ended up taking the normal rooms, claiming the hall toilets and tv for ourselves hahah.

Life in America pt1
The shuttle ride was too long, all 7 of us were exhausted and jet lagged that when we sat in the transport, all of us literally knocked out while heading out to Redmond.
Before we knew it,we woke up to a lush scenery that was really just breath taking in many ways, the trees were big the grass was bright green,Birds chirping everywhere and when we got down from the shuttle cold air just swept us and made us tingle.
It was the first time for most of us experiencing these kinds of weather and honestly it was exciting to feel the cold air just blowing through our faces rather then hot summer air back in Singapore.

Arrival pt2
Well finally out of that PRISON,i was looking around for my friends thinking that theyd be waiting nearby for me to come, but they werent around.I constantly kept trying to connect to the wifi but it was of no use,i looked around but i couldnt find my luggage so i figured that my friends would have picked it up for me.
So i went past the gate and headed on.waiting for the tram and went to the main arrival hall.
and boom, the moment i was out the wifi got connected and the messages started flooding in.
Going through the messages, slowly my stomach started turning inside out.
It seemed that my friends had left my baggage back at the customs area and they went over to a coffee shop at the airport to wait for me.
At this moment i was confused and asked for them to come over to give me a hand to solve this dilemma i was in. after they got over to where i was, they were just as confused on what to do.I was so done with the day that this dilemma just made me more and more aggravated,we spent like around two hours walking around trying for someone to get us to let us into the customs area but everyone kept asking us to go to the office of our airlines that we took which was upstairs.we were too new and fresh to the country that simply saying upstairs wasnt going to cut it we needed directions too.
After awhile we finally found a office that was for Korean Air.Thankfully there were really nice staff that was willing to bring me back all the way to the customs to get back my baggage,so the lady that was bringing me was really kind and kinda cute too.She was talking to me about how shes been to singapore before as well.
In no time i found my baggage and it was safely brought back with the help of the lady from Korean Air.It was a really good relief after a LONGGGGG and Tiring day.
at this point i just want to get to the apartment and sleeeepppppp ughhh.

Arrival
After the 10 hours of waiting time it was finally time to take the plane that was headed towards America!
Unfortunately, the flight itself was a 9 hours long :/ and around this point of the journey everyone was dreading to get back on the plane, but i guess the thought of reaching the US was all the drive we needed to get ourselves there.
So we finally went over to Taco bell at the airport to have our dinner before boarding the plane. It was my first time ever having taco bell, and honestly i was not really that impressed.
The plane ride was shit.Sitting at one spot for hours to come is never a good thing.Especially when youre tired of watching movies and listening to music and want to catch up on sleep but the seats are so bad its just really hard to have any kind of sleep in the first place,
So fast forwarding to when we landed. We were all so excited.
Everyone was all planning and telling each other what we wanted to do and how we were gonna settle in and stuff.Dragging our bags to the customs where we had to wait for a very ling line that runs through some booths with officers inspecting your passports and visas before letting us through to the baggage claims.
Heres where it went all to shit.
I was the last one among my friends,so i got to see them all one by one get cleared by customs.every inch i got closer i was getting more and more excited.
Finally my turn came,
the officers were really nice and calm, getting my passport and f1 visas and clicking away their computers to do their stuffs occasionally asking me casual questions.
Suddenly, the officer told me that i may have to move to another booth because his computer wasnt really working when it came to putting in my name.At first i was confused and thought maybe its just a glitch or a fault in the computer,so i let it pass.Going over to the other booth and having another officer tend to me as i just stood there with my bag and laptop in hand and also tired from 25 hours of Time that went by.
The officer then said that her system was ALSO not working.and that she might have to send me to a room to get my passport verified and said "it might be cause of your name"
Here i thought that maybe it was a really fast check.I looked over my friends who already started giving me concerned looks to go on without me to collect their bags, and they nodded and went off first.
The officer brought me to this room where a bunch of people were waiting while there was a counter and another officer just clicking away on his computer doing something.
At this point i was getting worried.I noticed the signs that said no use of Phones.
and after analysing the situation i noticed that the officers were going through the passports in order.
THERE WERE TOO MANY PASSPORTS TILL THEY GET TO MINE.
I started getting paranoid, because i wasnt able to contact my friends and i was afraid that we were gonna miss our scheduled transport that was gonna bring us to our Apartments.
An HOUR later,a officer came out of one of the rooms and called out my name.i came up to him and was so relieved to that i thanked him, took my passport and got out of there as fast as i could.

Flight
At first sight, when we sat down to get comfortable in our seats,it wasn't too bad.
It was Korean Air and their accommodations were rather pleasant. It came with a small TV,headphones, disposable slippers and some toiletries as well.
Of course, they have to provide stuff like this for the flight time we were about to have.Which was 6 hrs of Flight to Korea for transit.
That wasnt the worst part! We Have to wait for 10 hours for our next flight.10 HOURS.
Once we touched down,we knew we had a really long wait,So we settled in as fast as we could into the transit lounge.and found ourselves some seats to catch up on sleep and to find ourselves some food.We cant leave the airport so we would have to make do with this for now.

Departure
It was finally the day to pack up and take on a whole new experience of travelling abroad with friends to the United States to experience how its like to be a Digipen student,in Redmond,Washington.
It was the first time for me to ever travel overseas alone, usually because my mother isnt too fond of leaving my side because im considered her baby still.
To many of us,it was about the same story too, everyone was new to this experience.
I was able to meet up with all the different parents that were sending off their child on this trip as well,They all seemed nice and sweet as they constantly remind us to take care of each other when we are there.
At this point we all were already excited.
